Water released from Samanala Wewa.
The Ceylon Electricity Board said that water was released from the Samanala Wewa for agricultural purposes from 3 AM on Tuesday (8).
CEB General Manager Rohan Seneviratne told News 1st that electricity generation also commenced at the same time.
He said that due to the limited water capacity in the Samanala Wewa, electricity generation was also restricted.
However, upon considering the request for water for agricultural purposes, more water will be released from Tuesday (8), and electricity general will also be increased.
The CEB general manager said that water will be released following the generation of electricity.
