Racket to extort money from bus conductors.
Details have emerged of a racket to charge money from conductors by impersonating mobile ticket inspectors of the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Lalith De Alwis said complaints have been received from Colombo, Gampaha and Avissawella.
He said one such fake mobile ticket inspector was taken into custody by investigating officers during a raid conducted on the 28th of July.
De Alwis said the relevant individual was issued a warning and released after being handed over to the Dehiwala Police.
