Sri Lanka to hike Water tariff from August.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced that the water tariff will be increased from August 2023.
NWSDB General Manager Wasantha Illangasinghe said the proposal was directed to Cabinet for approval.
She noted that when Cabinet approval is obtained, the water tariff will be increased from August, however, no decision has been reached with regard to the percentage of the tariff hike.
