Electric car permits for individuals earning dollars from Sri Lanka: Notice from Minister.
A new Cabinet paper has been submitted requesting to grant permits to import electric vehicles to individuals based in Sri Lanka receiving USD payments through businesses with foreign-based clients.
The request has been made by Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara.
“Presented cabinet paper requesting to include individuals exporting services from #LK through direct contracts with foreign clients and get paid in USD to be eligible for an electric car permit,” he said, taking to Twitter.
Minister Nanayakkara further requested those eligible to obtain the vehicle permit to reach out to ministrylfe@gmail.com to discuss a mechanism.
