Bodies of 2 schoolboys wash ashore in Batticaloa.
Bodies of 2 schoolboys have washed ashore to Kokkuwil beach in the afternoon today (7), the police said in a statement.
The deceased have been identified as 16-year-old students.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that these 2 boys might have drowned after going to sea bathe in the Kokkuwil beach area on Saturday (6) evening.
The bodies of the deceased boys have been placed at the Batticaloa hospital and Kokkuwil police are conducting further investigations.
