Sri Lanka win second Test to claim series 2-0

Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 164 runs in the second and final Test match in Galle to claim the series 2-0 on Friday. 

The visitors were bowled out for 132 in the second innings with Nkrumah Bonner (44) top scoring for the Windies.

Sri Lankan spinners Lasith Embuldeniya and Ramesh Mendis each picked up five wickets to finish the game right before the scheduled Tea break.

Sri Lanka set a 297-run target for the West Indies to win the 2nd and final Test at Kale Stadium.

The West Indies are touring Sri Lanka and playing in a two-match Test series.

Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 187 runs in the first Test at Kale Stadium.

Meanwhile, the second Test between the two teams started on November 29 at Kale Stadium.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 204 in the first innings. West Indies’ Permaul took 5 wickets in the first innings.

Then, the West Indies batted in the first innings, scoring 253 runs. Sri Lanka’s Ramesh Mendis took 6 wickets.

Following this, Dhananjaya de Silva rescued the stumbling Sri Lankan team in the 2nd innings with his amazing batting prowess.

Playing in the second innings following the 5th day, Sri Lanka declared at 345 for 9.

Dhananjaya de Silva scored 155 not out till the end.
