OIC arrested for soliciting sexual bribes, remanded
The OIC of the Wanathawilluwa Police who was arrested on a charge of attempting to obtain Rs. 100,000 in cash and sexual bribes from a woman has been remanded until the 11th of next month.
He was produced before Puttalam District Judge Asela de Silva.
The OIC was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption at a lodge in the Puttalam area on the afternoon of the 28th following a complaint lodged by the woman.
