Basil Rajapaksa leaves for US on short trip
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organizer Basil Rajapaksa has left for the United States of America.
According to the Daily Mirror, the head of the Presidential Task Force for Economic Revival and Poverty Eradication left for the US last night.
Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa is reported to have left Sri Lanka urgently for a family matter.
He is expected to return to Sri Lanka in the first week of June.
