Kottawa exit of Southern expressway closed due to Covid scare
Kottawa Exit of the Southern Expressway will remain closed starting from 6.00 am today (April 28) until further notice.
The Highways Ministry said that a decision was taken to close the exit point after 3 ticket counter employees working at the Kottawa interchange tested positive for Covid-19.
Vehicles are allowed to enter the expressway from Kottawa but requested to use Aturugiriya and Kahatuduwa Exit Points to leave the expressway.
However, buses and ambulances will be allowed to use the exit.
