Road safety measures implemented in Uva Province
Governor of the Uva Province, A.J.M. Muzammil advised to identify and repair the dangerous areas on the roads of Uva Province, following the tragic accident that took place on the Passara 13th-milepost in which 14 passengers were killed.
Accordingly, the Governor also stated that the steps will be taken to deploy speed limits and safety fences in at-risk areas
The Road Development Authority (RDA) recently erected a safety fence at the 13th-milepost on the Lunugala-Passara road where the bus accident took place
