Commission is ready for the Provincial Council elections
The Election Commission states that it is ready to hold elections at any time if the government formulates the relevant criteria and laws for holding provincial council elections.
Its chairman, senior lawyer Nimal Punchihewa told our news team that the election could be held within two and a half months after the relevant laws are formulated.
The Chairman of the Election Commission stated that he hopes to hold discussions with the General Secretaries of the parties within the next month
