Fake Police SI arrested by Police
The Special Investigations Unit of the Police was able to arrest a person in the Pannipitiya area who had forged the uniform of a Sub Inspector of Police.
It was revealed that the suspect had engaged in various business activities and other activities using the Sub Inspector's uniform.
The suspect was arrested in the Polwatta area in Pannipitiya following an investigation carried out by the Western Province Southern Special Crime Investigation Unit.
It is reported that he is a 30-year-old resident of Rakwana area.
Investigations have revealed that this person has also appeared on social media in a Sub Inspector's uniform.
He was also found in possession of a forged police identity card at the time of his arrest.
