Former TV news reader dies in accident
A 29-year old woman has died after the 3 wheeler she was traveling in, collided with a bus along the Palmedulla – Rathnapura road.
The deceased was identified as a former news reader now working in the media division of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.
At the time of the accident, 6 individuals of the same family had been traveling in the 3-wheeler including 2-year old twins. The deceased is their mother. Others have sustained injuries.
Initial investigations have revealed that the 3-wheel driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with the oncoming bus.
