Fire at St Clair's Reserve, Talawakele
More than 30 acres of land has been destroyed in a fire that broke out in the St Clair's Reserve, Talawakele last night (28).
Talawakele - Lindula Urban Council Chairman L. Bharathidasan said that the Army, the Police and the residents of the area had taken action to extinguish the fire in the reserve.
The fire had spread due to the prevailing dry weather.
Meanwhile, a small factory operating in a house in the Atalugama area in Bandaragama was completely destroyed by fire.
The fire broke out this morning (01), police said.
