Indian farmers ready to bring 4 million tractors to Delhi

Rakesh Tikait, a farmer leader, stated that Indian farmers are ready to come to the Parliament House in New Delhi with 4 million tractors against the new agricultural' laws of the Modi government.

Addressing a farmers' conference in Rajasthan yesterday, he said that if the government is not ready to withdraw the new bills, it is ready to visit Delhi at any time.

He also accused the government of trying to discredit the farmers' protest held in New Delhi on January 26.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Deesha Ravi, a young environmental activist arrested in connection with the publication of a Twitter post by Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg in support of Indian farmers, was released on bail by a Delhi court yesterday.

Critics say she's arrested as a measure to crack down on activists who support protests against farmers' laws.
