BASL Presidential Election today
The election of the office-bearers of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka is to be held today.
President's Counsels Kuvera de Zoysa and Saliya Peiris will contest for the post of President of the Bar Association in the elections to be held in 85 polling stations islandwide.
In view of the prevailing situation in the country, the election will be held in accordance with the health guidelines and three polling stations will be open for voters at the Colombo District Court premises.
The Bar Association says all voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots without having to wait in long queues
