Speaker calls for a report on threats against Sumanthiran
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has requested the IGP to submit a report on the threats made against TNA MP, M. A. Sumanthiran.
The police STF security provided to MP Sumanthiran was recently removed and it was debated in Parliament.
Accordingly, the Speaker has informed the IGP in this regard.
However, the police protection given to MP Sumanthiran is still in force.
