South African & Brazil COVID variant found in India

With the discovery in India of two rapidly expanding new varieties of coronavirus, a new set of travel guides has been issued in India.

According to the Indian Ministry of Health, the guidelines were issued following the identification of four cases of South African COVID variant and one case of the Brazil variant.

Meanwhile, 187 cases of the British virus were reported from India.

Accordingly, according to India's new travel guidelines, non-corona-infected tourists will be allowed to fly 72 hours prior to their trip abroad.

The new guidelines also make it mandatory for travellers across Britain, Europe and the Middle East to undergo PCRtesting at their own expense, and to identify those identified as infected.
