'Global death toll reduces by 10%' - WHO
The number of global coronavirus deaths and infections has dropped by 10% and 16%, respectively, according to World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
He said the report of infections in Africa and the West Pacific had dropped by 20%.
In the Southeast Asian region, the report of infections fell by 13% and in the Americas by 16%.
The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) said the number of cases reported in Europe had dropped by 16% in the past week, with a 7% increase in cases reported in the eastern Mediterranean region alone.
The total number of cases globally stands at 110,032,362, while the global death toll stands at 2,429,707
