SL 96 WC stars withdraw from Road Safety World Series
Sri Lanka cricket legends Muttiah Muralitharan, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Chaminda Vass, Upul Chandana, and Marvan Atapattu have withdrawn from the Road Safety World Series 2021.
The former Sri Lanka cricketers represented the Sri Lanka Veterans team in the tournament held last year.
Nearly 96 cricketers are reported to have withdrawn from the tournament this year, in order to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sri Lanka’s 1996 cricket World Cup win.
A number of commemoration events are being organized in view of the historic event.
