Shooting in Pandura: Investigation handed over to CCD
The investigation on the Pallimulla homicide was handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division. A senior police officer stated that six police teams are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects involved in the shooting.
The motorcycle said to have used by the suspects was found near the Urakaduwa ferry in Panadura recently, during an operation carried out by a team from the Police Diving Division, the Sri Lanka Navy, and local residents in the Bolgoda River.
A T-56 firearm used for the murder was found hidden in an old log near a cemetery in Wadurammulla, Panadura on 29 January.
However, the two suspected gunmen are yet to be arrested
