Sri Lanka-China agreement over tea
Sri Lanka Tea Board yesterday (08) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the China Fujian Star, a China International trade company limited to establish an online and offline marketing platform for Ceylon Tea.
Through the corporation, the platform will ensure quality assurance of Ceylon Tea manufacturers, original certification and distribution of Pure Ceylon Tea in Chine through a unified sales platform.
According to the agreement reached with Fujian Star-China, the Tea Board expects to sell around 4 million kilograms of tea to China this year.
