PM praised over approval of increasing estate workers' daily wage
Ceylon Workers Congress MPs and Ministers have praised the Prime Minister for approving the estate workers' daily minimum wage.
The Wages Board yesterday approved to increase the daily wage of estate workers to Rs. 1,000.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Ceylon Workers' Congress State Minister Jeevan Thondaman, Deputy Chairman Senthil Thondaman, Treasurer MP Marudapandi Rameshwaran and others visited the Prime Minister's official residence in Wijerama yesterday (08) and expressed their appreciation.
The Wages Board yesterday approved the payment of a daily wage of Rs. 900 and an allowance of Rs. 100 for estate workers
