New train from Homagama to Colombo
The Railway Department stated that a new train will be operated from Homagama to Colombo Fort from today.
The train will leave Homagama at 07:00 a.m. and reach Colombo Fort at 08:10 a.m. The train will return to Homagama from Colombo Fort at 06:10 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Negombo-Galkanda Junction railway crossing on the Colombo-Puttalam A3 main road will be closed for 36 hours from tomorrow (06) due to repairs.
Accordingly, the road will be closed from 06:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. on 07 February and all trains plying on that route will be restricted to Colombo Fort and Katunayake Airport Railway Station only.
