Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that special ambulance service has been launched for those who fall ill in isolated areas around Colombo.

While joining the 'Paththare Visthare' programme aired on Hiru TV, he added that necessary steps are being taken to re-open the Manning Market in Pettah by next Monday (16) or Tuesday (17).

He noted that any person who has a connection to the Manning Market and is yet to undergo PCR testing, such persons can contact the police on 0718591551

The Police Media Spokespersons stated that it has been decided to obtain the assistance of the Civil Defense Force as a health safety protocol for the unloading and unloading of goods at the Manning Market which will be opened in the future.

Commenting on the police officers diagnosed with COVID-19, DIG Ajith Rohana stated that all the police officers who tested positive to PCR tests have been directed to quarantine.
