Sri Lanka Police arrested the wife of a notorious Sri Lankan drug lord known as ‘Shiva’ from Jaya Mawatha in Thalahena, NewsFirst reported.

‘Shiva’, real name Nandakumar Shivanandan is wanted for smuggling drugs to Sri Lanka via the sea route and was believed to have fled to India to evade arrest.

Sri Lanka Police said the 44-year-old female suspect was arrested for the possession of 07 grams and 250 milligrams of heroin.

Interrogation of the suspect led authorities to the discovery of a luxury SUV, two vans, and a car from Ja-Ela, Ekala, and Thalahena, all valued at over Rs. 50 Million and purchased using money generated by Shiva’s drug smuggling operation.

Investigations revealed, Shiva is the local operator of an international drug smuggling operation of ‘Ruban’ who smuggles drugs from France, and ‘Kudu Lala’ who smuggles drugs from Italy.
