Vijay Sethupathi’s first look of Muttiah Muralitharan's biopic titled ‘800’ out
The much-awaited first look of Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘800’ is out. The actor plays Sri Lankan cricketer and coach Muttiah Muralitharan in the biopic. The motion poster was released ahead of a cricket match between Chennai and Hyderabad. In the poster, the actor bears a striking resemblance to the ace cricketer.
The motion poster in animated graphics shows Muttiah's journey in cricket, including his childhood and the entire cricket journey. The ‘800’ in the title denotes the number of wickets taken Muralitharan in test matches, the maximum number of wickets in history by any bowler. Vijay Sethupathi had earlier shared that he was honoured to be part of the landmark project.
The film, directed by MS Sripathy, has music by Sam CS and cinematography by RD Rajasekhar. The film will go on floors next year.
