Shooting in Pandura: Motorcycle used in shooting recovered
The motorcycle used in the shooting death of a man in the Pallimulla, Panadura has been dumped into a tributary of the Bolgoda river in Urakatuwa ferry area in Panadura.
Accordingly, the motorcycle will be recovered by divers today, said Western Province Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon.
On his instructions, a special police team was deployed by the SSP in charge of Mount Lavinia who is conducting investigations into the incident.
It was revealed that the suspects had thrown the motorcycle into the river with the help of a boat.
The T-56 weapon used in the shooting was found in the Wadurammulla, Panadura yesterday. The firearm was found hidden in a cemetery in the Panadura area and 16 bullets were also found by the police.
The shooting took place last Monday, and it was revealed that the cause was a money dispute over drug trafficking.
A 32-year-old man was killed in the shooting.
One person in the three-wheeler in which the victim was traveling was also arrested by the police on suspicion of the incident.
The suspects who had come for the murder had been staying in a temporary rented house in Panadura for several days and the owner of the house has been arrested for questioning
