54 packages thrown over Prison wall from Oct to Dec
During the period from 12 October to 31 December last year, 54 parcels were recovered which were thrown over the Prison wall.
Prison officials later seized the parcels and handed them over to the Borella Police for further investigations.
Accordingly, 47 mobile phones, 22 SIM cards, 57 mobile phone batteries and 13 chargers were found in the packages.
In addition, 16 packets of heroin, 09 packets of 'ice' narcotics, 37 packets of cannabis and 569 packs of tobacco were found.
Prison officials also found 71 cigarettes, 14 lighters, 7 beedis and a 400 millilitres bottle of liquor
