Cardinal's expectation regarding Muthurajawela wetland
The Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith stated that he expects a successful solution by the committee appointed by the Environment Minister to investigate the destruction of the Muthurajawela wetland.
He stated this at a special press conference held with the Minister of Environment in Colombo yesterday
The Archbishop recently accused a private company of destroying the Muthurajawela wetland by using it for a large scale tourism project.
Environment Minister Mahinda Amaraweera appointed a committee to look into the incident and a special discussion was held between the Archbishop and the Minister of Environment yesterday.
