Publication of 'Marketing Thamilil (தமிழில்),' book by Sri Lanka's Leading Prof Nalin Abeysekara, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies at the Open University of Sri Lanka, and co-author Mrs. Premila Kathirkamar, who contributed to the translation and adaptation.
In a meaningful celebration of academia and cultural diversity, the Asia Chartered Institute of Digital Marketing (ACIDM) proudly announced the copyright and publication of 'Marketing Thamilil (தமிழில்),' a groundbreaking book by Sri Lanka's distinguished Prof Nalin Abeysekara, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies at the Open University of Sri Lanka, and co-author Mrs. Premila Kathirkamar (Managing Director - GIMED (PVT) LTD, who contributed to the translation and adaptation.
The grand unveiling took place at the prestigious Auditorium of the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce, University of Jaffna, providing a fitting stage set for the launch of this significant literary work. The event, which unfolded on the 11th of December 2023 at 9:30 am, witnessed the presence of key Personalities, including Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Kannathasan from the University of Jaffna, Chair Prof N Kengatharan, Prof S Shivany, Head of the Marketing Department, Prof S Shivesan conducted a thorough review of the book, adding scholarly insights, Sriskanthan Sharan (SharanCX), Digital Marketing Strategist in Sri Lanka, Ms S Kalavathy CAO – ACIDM with event hosting by Dr Dilogini (Senior Lecturer of Marketing Department) & Sharun (Director: Hostmaster).
The event's success was further amplified by the enthusiastic participation of entrepreneurs and professionals, underlining the book's relevance and impact on the marketing landscape. Noteworthy personalities, including Dr. K Sivarajah (former Lecturer, FMSC, UoJ), Mr S Kanthavel (Assistant Director – Open University of Sri Lanka, Jaffna Centre), Mr Pooranchandran (President: Northern Chamber of Commerce), Mr Ravichandran (Director: Department of Zonal Education, Jaffna), and Mr Kokulan (Director: SLIATE Jaffna), Mr Sham (Accounting Teacher - DMI), Ms Rajulathevy (Former Director Nursing Education), were honored with special copies of 'Marketing Thamilil.' Their presence added a layer of distinction, emphasizing the book's significance beyond academic circles, bridging gaps between education and industry. As these special copies found their way into the hands of influential leaders, 'Marketing Thamilil' continues to break new ground in its quest to enrich minds and elevate the discourse on marketing strategies.
