Tremor recorded in Walpane
A minor tremor measuring 1.8 on the Richter scale recorded in Walapane, Nuwara-Eliya at 3.30 this morning.
The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau stated that it was recorded in seismometers installed in the Mahakanadarawa, Pallekele and Hakmana areas.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the quake was felt at several places in the Akiriya village in the Madolsima police division.
