Helpless family requesting only for a roof above their heads (Video)
Shelter is a basic human need.
But Hiru News have received a report from the Mihintale about a helpless family who had to live in a hut set up in a reserve.
This is the hut of Ananda Kumara and Shiromi Buddhika who live in the Kannattiya reserve in Mihintale.
They and their four children were forced to live in an unoccupied hut in a reserve after not being able to pay the rent for the house they have been living in so far.
Ananda, who had worked as a chef at a hotel in Colombo, also lost his job with the spread of the coronavirus.
This helpless family living in a reserve without permission was also barred by law.
It would be a great relief for them to be able to provide shelter for their needy family.
