Rainy weather expected in several parts of the island this afternoon
The Meteorological Department states that showers will occur in several parts of the island this afternoon as well.
It said that showers may occur in the North, East, North Central and Uva provinces as well as in the Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya and Matale districts.
The Department further stated that Galle and Matara districts are likely to experience 75 mm of heavy showers this afternoon.
