US logs highest COVID deaths - COVID cases exceed 20 million
Recording the highest death toll reported in a day, the US logged 3,927 COVID deaths yesterday (31), while over 242,000 coronavirus cases were reported as well.
Accordingly, the total number of COVID infections in the country exceeded 20 million.
Anthony Fauci, the United States' leading epidemiologist, has warned that the number of COVID deaths could rise further in the winter.
