Validity period of Govt issued media accreditation extended
The Government Information Department has stated that the validity of the media accreditation issued by the Department for the year 2020, was extended until 31 March 2021.
Previously, the accreditation was set to expire on 31 December, 2020.
The Department further stated that the preliminary process of issuing media accreditation for the year 2021 has commenced currently as per the Extraordinary Gazette Notification issued on 12 December, 2021.
Journalists and other personnel can access the relevant application via www.dgi.gov.lk and www.news.lk
