Additional train journeys deployed this afternoon
Due to the inadequacy of the number of trains operated today, it was decided to operate several additional trains this afternoon.
The Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters' Association has announced that two trains will run along the mainline, two on the coastal line and one on the Kelani Valley line.
Accordingly, the two trains on the mainline will run as slow trains from Colombo Fort to Polgahawela Junction at 04:00 p.m. and from Polgahawela Junction to Colombo Fort at 06:10 p.m.
The train along the coastal line will operate from Maradana at 04:15 p.m. to Kalutara South and at 05:45 p.m. from Kalutara South to Maradana.
In addition, a slow train will operate on the Kelani Valley Railway line from Colombo Fort to Padukka at 05:00 p.m
