Historical 'Solosmasthana' to be declared as sacred locations
The declaration stating that the 'Solosmasthana' be declared as sacred places were handed over to Buddha Sasana, Cultural and Religious Minister, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday (20).
The Government Information Department stated that the sacred event was held at the Galge Viharaya Uttararamaya.
A large of number of the Maha Sangha representing the three sectors also attended the event.
The relevant declaration was handed over to the Prime Minister by Head of Solosmasthana, Anunayake of the Asgiriya Chapter, Ven. Wedaruwe Upali Thera
