Rainy weather forecast for tomorrow
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern, North-Central, Central and Uva provinces and in the Hambantota district tomorrow (21), says the Department of Meteorology.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts in the afternoon.
Heavy falls of over 100mm can be expected at some places in the Central province and in the Badulla, Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
Fairly strong gusty winds of up to 50 kmph can be expected in the eastern slopes of central hills, Northern, North-Central and North-Western provinces and in the Hambantota district.
The Department requests the public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
