Budget 2021 passed in Parliament
The third reading of the Budget 2021 was passed in parliament with amendments a short while ago.
The Budget proposal was passed with a majority of 97 votes as 151 MPs voted in favor and 54 voted against the Budget.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and it’s alliance partners voted in favor of the Budget.
Samagi Jana Balavegaya, Janatha Vimukthi Pera and Tamil National Alliance voted against the budget.
