The Health sector warns the general public that there is a risk of rat fever spreading among the general public. The Ministry of Health states that rats' urine can contaminate water, and the germs that cause rat fever can enter the body through wounds.
As a precaution, health officials advise individuals with injuries to avoid contact with the water
