Plans to remove self-quarantine period of overseas returnees
Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva stated that attention is being paid to remove the self-quarantine period imposed on Sri Lankans who return from overseas.
Currently, all Sri Lankans that arrive from overseas is subjected to PCR testing at the airports before being directed to quarantine centres fro 14 days. After leaving quarantine centres, the returnees must undergo a 14-day self-quarantine period at their homes
