Unrest at Mahara Prison: Investigation handed over to CID
State Minister of Prison Reforms and Prisoners Rehabilitation informed Parliament that the investigation probing the unrest at the Mahara Prison was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department.
Meanwhile, the Ragama Hospital Director stated that the death toll following the unrest at the Mahara Prison has increased to eight.
