UNICEF to assist in Sri Lankan children’s nutrition, education
The UN Children’s Fund is paying attention to assisting families with small children in Sri Lanka to fulfill their basic requirements.
A UNICEF team held discussions in this connection with state minister Shehan Semasinghe at his ministry at Battaramulla yesterday (20),
They extended support to a programme to improve nutritional and educational standards of children.
For his part, Semasinghe gave a brief about the programmes targeting the poor, elderly, disabled and kidney patients.
