LPL : Gayle out, Malinga unlikely
Big-hitting West Indies batsman Chris Gayle will not be featuring in the upcoming inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
Chris Gayle has opted out of the franchise-based tournament due to personal reasons.
Meanwhile Sri Lanka’s T20 captain Lasith Malinga is also unlikely to play in the upcoming league. Malinga has not trained for nearly 8 months and has indicated a desire to pull out.
Malinga has not joined the Galle Gladiators team in Hambantota yet. He told NewsWire that he will make a decision about this in next few days.
