Vikram's Cobra shooting to resume in December
One of the most anticipated films in Tamil cinema in Vikram-starrer Cobra directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Imaikka Nodigal fame. We had earlier reported that the team had resumed shooting earlier in September in India after they had to halt the shoot when the coronavirus pandemic struck and were sent back from Russia. While it was assumed that the shooting had been wrapped up and post production work was going on, the latest is that there is about 25 days of shooting left to be completed.
Reports are that Chiyaan Vikram is expected to join the team in the second week of December to complete the shooting of the film. Cobra is said to be a super natural thriller and the ensemble star cast includes Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Miya, Mamukkoya, KS Ravikumar, Renuka, Babu Antony, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Robo Shankar, Kanika, Roshan Mathew, Poovaiyar and Irfan Pathan.
Vikram was seen in seven different looks in the first look poster and that has piqued the curiosity among fans. The film marks the debut of cricketer Irfan Pathan in films. The fast bowler plays the role of a Turkish Interpol officer in the film, which is likely to release early next year.
‘Cobra’ is produced by Lalith Kumar's 7 Screen Studios and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi language. Music for the film is by AR Rahman. While the cinematography is being handled by Harish Kannan, editing is by Bhuvan Srinivasan.
