6 proposals from the President to implement an unitary digital identity framework
The cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal for the implementation of the Unitary Digital Identity framework and the e-national identity card project.
The Government is following the Unitary Digital Identity framework and a strategy in this regard to realise the objective of “A Skillful Nation”, which is one of the objectives of the national policy framework “Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour”.
The Unitary Digital Identity framework project which has been deemed a national level program, has been jointly created by Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) and the Department of Registration of Persons.
The cabinet of Ministers has approved the 06-point proposal submitted in this regard by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
