Over Rs 68 million spent on COVID-19 relief so far

The government has so far spent Rs. 68,640 million to provide relief to people affected by the spread of the COVID-19 virus, according to the Department of Government Information.

The aforementioned sum had been allocated for the relief of the people from March 31 to November 13, 2020.

Meanwhile, the number of families who received the allowance of Rs. 5,000 during the relevant period has exceeded 12.7 million.

In addition, the expenditure incurred by the Ministry of Health on quarantine, health infrastructure, and pharmaceutical services was Rs. 4,326 million, according to a press release issued by the Government Information Department.
