Gazette Issued To Abolish MPs’ Pension Scheme
The Gazette notification related to the Bill to abolish the pensions of Members of Parliament has been issued.
Following the issuance of the Gazette, the Bill is scheduled to be presented to Parliament for approval.
The Act will be titled the “Parliamentary Pensions Abolition Act” No. 2025.
Accordingly, the Parliamentary Pensions Act No. 1 of 1977 of the National Council of State will be repealed.
