A/L Paper Evaluation to Begin Before Exams Conclude

The Department of Examinations says that evaluation activities for this year’s G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination are planned to begin before the conclusion of the examination period.

Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, stated that the evaluation process will take place during the ongoing examination period.

The 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination commenced yesterday, and no complaints were reported on the first day.

The examination will be conducted until the 5th of December across 2,362 examination centres islandwide.

A total of 340,525 candidates are sitting for the exam this year, including 246,521 school candidates.

In addition, 325 coordination centres and 32 regional collection centres have been established to facilitate the process.

Commissioner General Liyanage also advised all candidates to arrive at their examination centres at least one hour before the scheduled start time, and to be seated in their assigned places half an hour before the examination begins.
